Celebrate Your Independence Greeting Card

Well hello there friends and crafty peeps! Happy Sunday you all. I'm in the full swing of preparing for the summer holiday season and adding GSL chippies to my projects takes them to a whole nother level of awesome!

This is very Americana inspired with loads of fun and festive embellishments!
The window frame is topped with stars and flowers and added a layer of velum for a frosted look.
The altered stars really help to fill in the arrangements. I've also tucked in some metal flourishes and epoxy topped stickers.
The window has a crackle finish for a very vintagy look.
More flowers and stars for this corner and a scattering of sequins for a bit of sparkle.
a little printed burlap tucked under the sentiment and a fussy cut bunting to finish off this oh so patriotic card!
I wiped the chippie off to prepare it for finishing then applied a coat of chocolaty brown acrylic paint and let dry.
Next I added a layer of crackle medium and allowed that to dry also. Last but not least was applying a coat of white paint being careful not to brush too much and disturb the crackles.
The stars are easy peasy to finish with metallic silver paint.  On the finished project I added a bit of Stickles to the stars for accent.

Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts~Cottage Windows Large, Decco Stars.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) Ginny
